Inspired by Peggy Guggenheim and her role in the history of the art of the twentieth century the collection FW 16/17 is all about character and audacity.
Acute and charming collector, Peggy claimed that her duty was to protect the art of her time and devoted so much of her life to the creation of her museum. Flapper refers precisely to one of her artists, the sculptor Antoine Pevsner, presenting some of his lines and shapes in the new turbans.
The main novelty of the collection FW 16/17 is nylon, a modern and technical fabric that is used for headgear made in the style of the thirties. In this way Flapper desecrates and flips the usual idea of "retro" giving it fresh and current connotations.
