Flapper X Kway® is where functionality meets high tailoring.

Flapper, created in 2013 by the Italian-Belgian designer Genevieve Xhaet, famous for her high tailoring headgear and turbans, and Kway®, the waterproof French brand par excellence, meet each other on the common ground of functionality and give birth to the co-branding Flapper X Kway®, in which three Flapper bestsellers are presented with the iconic Kway® waterproof ripstop nylon Le Vrai 3.0. A fall winter 2020-2021 headwear capsule featuring a turban, a foulard with peak and a baseball cap with a long removable cloak.

The three styles Flapper X Way are proposed in three color variants: total black, yellow fluo and camouflage, featuring each of them the unmistakable Kway® yellow-orange-blue tape. Lia Long: baseball cap with long cloak that can be easily removed by a zip and put in the inner pocket. Edges are heat-sealed. A perfect waterproof kit. Genoveffa: the female turban is desecrated in a contemporary way. The inner border has a drawstring gros-grain that allows you to widen or tighten the turban and it can be easily rolled in your pocket. Jennifer: the foulard features a peak with a hidden pocket. The model is so easy to carry and it can be folded in on itself. 

Kway® story starts in 1965 in Paris when, during a rainy day, the young entrepreneur Léon Claude Duhamèl observes passersby with uncomfortable umbrellas and heavy raincoats. From here a revolutionary jacket is born: light, waterproof and windproof, foldable in its own pocket, easy to carry in case of bad weather. Color palette is bright and various in order to face the rain with style and functionality.

Created in 2013 by Genevieve Xhaet, Flapper is a women’s accessories brand that fuses tailored elegance with contemporary taste maintaining a versatile and refined equilibrium between form and wearability. Flapper takes its inspiration from the image and allure of the protagonists of the iconic 1920s: a roaring epoch, vibrant with change and social revolution, marked by the first steps toward women’s liberation and emancipation. Flapper praises this desire through precise cuts, exclusive embellishments, intense colors and delicate nuances, and natural materials and prized textiles, including wool, cashmere and linen, all sourced, styled and hand-sewn respecting Made in Italy values and artisanal knowledge.
