Fall Winter 2021

The Mountain: Romantic and Sublime. A place to explore and defeat one’s limitations. Flapper FW21 collection is inspired by American painter Karen Kilimnik’s representation of mountain peaks at night. These silent and evocative scenarios stimulate the development of two main themes: the woman-individual before nature and the symbiotic relationship of the Walser community with the Alps. Genevieve Xhaet finds inspiration in the ski racing circuit of the seventies and, more specifically, in the looks of the athletes Ninna Quario, Anne Marie Pröll and Rosi Mittermaier. The geometric reliefs characterizing their ski suits entice the designer to further explore the notions of functionality, comfort and design. The protective lines of the racing suits of that time become the iconic and distinctive detail of Flapper Fall 2021 collection, for the first time, combining headgear with a clothing capsule through the use of the same fabrics and colors.
